Comparatively speaking slower at the rock dam, but Josh picked up some good trout fishing the bottom with storm minnows. I caught 2 trout and that was it for me at the dam. It was one of those maddening days when you're fishing right next to someone with the exact same tackle, and they're catching all the fish. Personally, that usually happens to me when I'm not being patient enough and/or getting frustrated. Fishing never goes well when you're angry or impatient, and that is one of the reasons it is such a great life lesson. Water movement seemed minimal, despite a decent tide prediction. Picked up and went into main canal off of the marsh, caught a red in each of the two main cuts into the marsh on popping cork. Caught two more reds in the marsh, one on a spinner bait, one on a minnow, then my last one to finish off my limit hammered a minnow at the mouth of the main canal that leads to Bernard Lagoon. Ran into a couple of tiny trout. Clear water in a lot of the marsh, and we were really looking to sight fish, but the redfish were fairly scarce. I did finally manage to sight cast and land one red on a spinner bait.
